Michael Hand
Designer / Design Manager

With a BS Degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama, Michael finds working in the hospitality industry as rewarding. Design began for Michael after starting his own company designing logos for corporations, which included embroidering items advertising their business. Eager to fulfill his dream in interior design, he turned his efforts towards completing his degree in interior design. He joined Peggy Dye & Associates within a month of completing his degree. Michael feels he has found a home with PD&A. "Working with Peggy is great; she is a great mentor, who allows me to use my ideas and develop a project from a concept through completion." As the project leader, Michael has been part of a team where PD&A has received top awards on the national level. "I love my work, and the ability to express my talents is very rewarding."

Katherine Allen
Junior Designer

Katherine Allen is a 2008 graduate of the University of Alabama with a major in Interior Design. She also studied Art History at Clida, in Florence, Italy, where she worked to get her minor in Art History. Katherine fell in love with interior design because of the chic and creative things you can do to enhance an interior's aesthetic, and she enjoys the thrill of problem solving. "Interior design appealed to me because it's like a puzzle. Each piece has it's part, and I love getting to see the whole picture in the end." Katherine is a native of Mobile, Alabama.
